Expressing Our Spirituality Creatively

At times words fail us.  At times we have way too many words!  Expressing ourselves creatively  as part of our spiritual practices helps us to learn to pay attention to the world around us and connect with our  Creator God.

I have selected 4 Tuesday evenings in which we will explore creatively expressing our thoughts and feelings around the celebrated events of the Church calendar.
December 2, 2014 - Advent  CANCELLED
February 24, 2015 - Lent
March 31, 2015 - Holy Week
April 5, 2015 - the Risen Jesus Appearances

One form of expressing yourself might be in exploring  Haiku - a poem in 3 simple lines.  If this interests you, there is a great book you might enjoy - Haiku - the Sacred Art: A Spiritual Practice in Three Lines, by Margaret McGee.  I will also have art and collage supplies available each evening.  Whether you are a beginner or experienced with art as a spiritual practice, sharing our creativity will open our hearts and minds to God and one another.  Please consider joining me - I am a true beginner at this but I find I am drawn by the idea of expressing myself simply and creatively!
